Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that is not answered here, please use the contact form to receive a response from the organizers!

Can I bring my family?

  • Yes. Sedonafest is a family event. Children and significant others are welcome.

Can I bring my dog?

  • Yes. As with all things, please be a responsible pet owner, watch your dog, and pick up after it.

Can I bring my RV/travel trailer?

  • Yes. The Sedonafest 2010 campsite is located in the Coconino National Forest and all National Forest rules and regulations apply. The road to the campsite is easily passable by nearly all RVs and travel trailers. However, some areas of the campsite area off the forest road may be limited in space and or require crossing of a small stream that may be running. The area is frequented by travel trailers up to 30ft in length but this is not to say that all 30ft travel trailers can make it. If you choose to bring your RV/travel trailer the organizers of Sedonafest do not guarantee the availability of space or that roads will be passable.

Only one raffle ticket?!?! Can I buy more?

  • Yes. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased at the Sedonafest event. Cash only.

Is 4wd required for the trails?

  • Yes. Although a few of the Sedonafest trails are passable with a 2wd high clearance vehicle, some are not. For the benefit of the trail run groups and in the interest of Tread Lightly ideals, 2wd vehicles will not be allowed on Sedonafest trail runs.

Can my stock FJ Cruiser complete the trails?

  • Yes. With careful driving and possibly some advice from a friendly trail spotter, all the Sedonafest trails are passable with a 4wd stock FJ Cruiser. This being said, off road driving is inherit to possible damage and the organizers of Sedonafest cannot guarantee that damage to your vehicle will not happen.

What happens if it rains?

  • Sedonafest is a rain or shine event. Please pay close attention to weather forecasts and prepare accordingly. No registrations fees will be refunded due to bad weather.

Am I required to camp at the designated Sedonafest campsite?

  • No. Sedonafest attendees are more than welcome to camp elsewhere or even get a hotel in Sedona. It is highly recommended that participants camp at the designated site, not only to stay informed of event news but to participate in the other events occurring at the Sedonafest designated campsite.

What should I bring with me?

  • Apart from the typical camping gear each vehicle should have a recovery strap, recovery points, means to change a tire, and a driver with a good attitude. A fire extinguisher is also recommended.

Is a CB Radio required?

  • No. However, it is strongly recommended to stay in contact with the trail leaders and others in your trail run group.

I registered but won't be able to attend, can I have a refund?

  • No. Registration fees are nonrefundable. Please contact us to receive your event t-shirt!

Registration closed before I had a chance to register, can I still join the trail runs?

  • No. The Sedonafest event has been carefully planned and coordinated with the National Forest Service for a maximum number of vehicles and event participants. If you missed the registration for Sedonafest 2010, we ask that you please respect this and hope to see you at Sedonafest 2011.
